Arrival:

By car:
Via the Brenner Pass (A22): Take exit ‘Bozen Süd‘. Follow the bypass Meran-Bozen in the direction of Meran and then look out for signposts to Eppan.

Via Reschen Pass to Meran: From there, follow bypass Meran-Bozen. Exit Eppan.

From the South (A22): Take exit Neumarkt-Auer-Tramin. Follow the South Tyrolean Wine Road to Eppan or take exit ‘Bozen Süd‘. Then follow signposts for bypass Meran-Bozen for a short while in the direction of Meran. Watch out for signs for Eppan.

By train:
DB/ÖBB EuroCity
Travel comfortable and relaxed to South Tyrol with the ‘Europa-Spezial’ ticket. This special offer includes routes between Germany and Italy or other European destinations. Terms, timetable, prices and reservation on www.bahn.de.

One-day-ticket ‘Anschlussticket Südtirol’: Passengers on DB/ÖBB EuroCity trains from Munich to Bolzano/Bozen can buy the 1-day ticket (Anschlussticket Südtirol) and so use connecting trains and public transport in Alto Adige/Südtirol on the day of arrival. This ticket is also available from DB Travel Centres.

By bus:
Eurolines Berlin - Bolzano: 10.5 hrs.: from Berlin to the Bolzano central bus station.
Eurolines Munich - Bolzano: 4 hours: departing from Munich, arriving at the Bolzano bus station.

By plane:
Airport - Bus Transfer to South Tyrol:
Südtirol Alto Adige Bus: You can get to South Tyrol quickly and conveniently by bus transfers. From Munich for example six times a day. From Milan Malpensa, Bergamo and Verona airport you can reach Bolzano/Bozen, Merano/Meran and Bressanone/Brixen. The transfers are operated by Südtirol Bus/Dolomites Airport Shuttle and must be booked online at least 48 hours in advance. Time tables, information and booking on www.altoadigebus.com.


Be mobile in South Tyrol - Getting around with the public transport

Mobilcard Südtirol
With the Mobilcard Südtirol (7, 3 or 1 day), you can enjoy all public transport, such as the train in South Tyrol (down to Trento), all local buses, the lift facilities to Maranza, San Genesio, Renon, Meltina, Colle di Bolzano, Verano, the tram to the Renon, as well as the cable car to the Mendola mountain.

Based on the Mobilcard, it allows you in addition to visit more than 90 museums and art collections (7 or 3 days).

bikemobil Card
The bikemobil Card (7, 3 or 1 day) includes bike rental for one day (available from April to October).

​You may purchase your Mobilcard and museumobil Card at any South Tyrol Integrated Transport ticket office, as well as at tourist offices. Mobilcard can also be bought at automatic ticket machines in all railway stations in the Province, with the (temporary) exclusion of Bolzano, at the Bolzano Bus Station, at the downline and upline stations of the Renon cableway, as well as at the ticket office in Trento train station.
